How to propagate dendrobium

If you want to propagate your dendrobiums, this following method works very well.

Use a sharp, clean knife and sever the old pseudobulbs from the mother plant. When splitting the pseudobulb, try to make the cut close to the old pseudobulb or you can cut leafless can into piece with at least 1 live eye.

Cut old roots and leave about 1cm

Place the dormant pseudobulbs in moist medium (fir, coconut husk chip) with eyes facing up.

Keep the medium always moist, about 1 month new plants will appear.
